Rose Law and FamilyOur sincere thoughts go out to you for Doug's passing. He will be forever "big brother" to our John who was a victim of Alzheimers several years ago. We remember fondly the family vacations at your camp! Deepest condolences to Helen, Peggy, Doug, Patricia, Susan, Lauri and the wonderful group of grand-children.
Linda Platt-MalpageDoug was a wonderful man and sang in our Tenor section. He and I had many conversations in the choir room before Sunday services. I will miss him greatly. He is with our Heavenly Father now.
Mrs Georgina Frangos Dear Helen and family, I met you years ago at a function for Northern Telecom. I worked for Doug many years ago in the R & D department. He was an amazing manager who always treated his employees with respect and understanding. I carry only the fondest memories when I think of all the years I spent working for Doug. May he rest in peace with God's Blessings and may his memory be eternal. Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family. Blessings and prayers ...... Georgina Frangos
The Hebert Kids (Mark, Scott, Lee Anne and Todd)We were so sorry to hear about Mr. Law, who was the father of some of our childhood friends from Oakridge Park neighbourhood. We remember fondly a really fun visit to your family cottage near Ottawa where we went water skiing and had such a good time. Many of the neighbours will recall the famous Talking Pumpkin at the Law Residence at Hallowe'en. The pumpkin was able to identify every trick or treater and yelling for more candy or being rude might result in one's name being spoken by the "magic" pumpkin. We only learned later in life, that Mr. Law was aware of our identities. God Bless. With our sincere sympathy. Mark, Scott, Lee Anne (Roebotham) and Todd
ROBERT and TRUDY REIDDoug, Marguerite, David and extended family, May " the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort " console each one of you and may His Spirit bring to mind the precious memories that have been stored up in your heart and release them into those moments when you need them most. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Randy, Laurie and JordanHelen and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. We will certainly miss Doug in the neighbourhood but will remember all of the interesting conversations we had with him on the street and the friendly hellos. It has been very difficult for the whole family over the last while but he was very lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. Take care of each other and our thoughts are with you.
Janice GrangerSo sad for your loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather but so happy that he left you, and all of us with so many memories. Doug hired me to establish an R@D library at Northern Electric. He was a wonderful human being ...warm, fun, highly respected, patient, never compromised his integrity, and so good at his work. I was very fortunate to have had him as a boss...he was always appreciative and supportive and I learned a lot from him. He was a true gentle-man in the highest sense of the word and all of us will share in your sadness but are the better for having known him. I wish there were more like him.
