Peacefully with his loving wife, Louise, and family by his side, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Louise for 30 years. Loving Dad of Kari McKnight (Tim), Daryl (Cara) McKnight, Louise (Joe) Gennaro, Donna (Allen) Mitchell. Loving Grandpa of Lewis, Madison, Sarah and Mackenzie. Loving brother-in-law and best friend of Doug (Jessie) Francis. Survived by brother Donald (Patsy) McKnight; sisters-in-law Maggie (Rick) Nelligan and Leonora (Jim) McClelland. Loving uncle of Dereck (Dawn) Francis, Doug (Lori) Francis, Graeme (Louise) Gilmour, Frazer (Bruna) Nelligan, Kenzie Nelligan, Bobby McKnight, Tommy McKnight, Lee (Scot) Russell, Alana (Joel) Nelligan and Sarah McKnight. Missed by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and extended family home and abroad. Predeceased by parents Don and Dorothy McKnight. Danny was a former employee of Kellogg’s for 38 years. He was a passionate London Knights fan, and loved racing Standardbred horses. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Danny are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice or London Health Sciences Foundation.

Joe TwellsDan (the Rock) was a great friend of more than 45 years. We had many great times whether fishing, bowling or going to or watching London Knight games. I will miss you a great deal.
David Edmonds I was saddened to hear the news of my cousin Danny's passing. I remember the large family Christmas gatherings at our Grandma & Grandpa's home and Danny leading the singing in the front room with all the other Grandkids. My condolences to the entire family and I am sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral.

Sandy DeMeloBoth Sam and I were always hoping and praying that things would turn around for Danny. We were glad to be of help and support during the past few years. We are going to miss him, Sam especially as him and Danny had become very good friends. His from the stomach laughter, the rolling of his eyes and of course his many unforgettable saying " as stupid as a bag of rocks".
