Dressel, Daniel Packham

Dressel, Daniel Packham

February 25th, 2021

Passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital with family at his side, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Christine Margaret (2015) (née McGill). Loving father of David Paul and Peter Dean. Proud grandfather of Justyne and Deanna. Dan was born in Toronto, and was a RCAF WWII veteran. We wish to thank Veterans for the care and support they helped to provide. His true passions were his family, golf and baseball, but he enjoyed watching any sport. Dan always loved to get family or friends together to go out for a meal together. His farewell greeting at the end of the night, depending on the conversation, was either “Keep your chin up” or “Keep it between the lamp posts” with sparkling blue eyes. Dan donated his body to Western University Medical school, as did his wife Ruth. A private celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date still to be determined. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Daniel are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Book of Condolences

Maureen L DwyerMy deepest sympathy to Dan’s family. I knew Dan in my capacity as Chaplain at The Village of Glendale Crossing when his wife Ruth lived there. Dan was a very devoted husband to Ruth, coming to visit her almost daily, never worrying about driving clear across town during rush hour (Truth be told nearer then end we were more worried about him than he was). Dan was a proud Veteran and participated in our Remembrance Day Services. He has a wonderfully calm demeanor, a great sense of humour and a smile that lit up a room. May he find peace being back with Ruth again.
Rick and Dian BogiePlease accept our sincere condolences. Living to be 97 is quite a milestone. We always remember him getting out on the Golf Course as often as possible and he was quite an accomplished golfer for sure. We have many fond memories of his being a good neighbour and friend. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife Ruth. Rick and Dian
