Cliff came into my life when I became his young 8-year old "sister-in-law" - the year he married my sister, Jean. Over the years, I always looked up to him as my "big brother" and have shared many happy times. To my loving sister, Jean, nephew Scott, nieces Sandra & Susan, and their families, our prayers are with you during this sad time. Cliff will be missed, but may you all find comfort that he is no longer suffering but resting in peace with our heavenly Father. Love to you all, Sis Joyce & husband, Ken.
Scott and the Thornton family: We were deeply saddened to read of your fathers passing. It brought back many pleasant, and very old, memories of time spent at the farm house just outside of Owen Sound. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time,. Sincerely, Jim and Joan
Oh Unlce Cliff I will miss you! I have so many great memories- Recently I sat with you and A Jean and stated that I was on my way to work to work and was going to be fired - you gave me a lift to work and told me to go into work confident that this would not be the case - 8 hours later when I was leaving work and the gavel had not fallen was when I realized that I forgot to tell you that I was at peace with the "fact" that I would need to find another job .. it was the "kick in the pants" that I needed to get out and find something that I like to do - too late ...I am still at the same job! Thanks for teaching me to appreciate all things in life - whatever your circumstance you trusted God - I pray that when my earthly journey is over that I will have grown in my trust and faith in a way that your faith , and that of your brothers and sisters, grew ....Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all that we can ask or imagine - to HIM be the GLORY .. just as you desired Uncle Cilff !
Even though distance keeps us apart, we always enjoyed our times when we were together. Our hearts and prayers are with you Jean and family, at this sad time. Cliff will be missed greatly and is now rejoicing with the Lord. May God continue to comfort you and the family at this time. Love, Betty (Hyde) Devenney Ruth (Hyde) LeRoy Beula (Hyde) Rivers & Families A donation to Gideons International Canada has been made in memory of Cliff.
Although we were many miles apart, I held you and your family with pride as close to my heart as I could. Your faith and belief and has passed on to me and my family for this I am truly grateful. I thank you for excepting me into your wide circle of friends many years ago, I felt I was one of your family. I read with admiration all the caring comments and recognize so many names. It saddened me not to be there to celebrate your life with your family and friends. I will be over to visit your resting place later this year. I pray Jean, Sandra, Susan and Scott draw comfort that you are at peace with our Lord. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and for taking care of me. I am a better person and you will always be part of my heart. Rest in Peace. Mary Ellen
