Peacefully on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at University Hospital, London, in her 82nd year surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wilbur Yandt. Loving mother of Paul Yandt and his wife Debra, and Neil Yandt and his wife Ruth. Dear grandmother of Cheryl (Jay), Cindy (Roch), Chris and great-grandmother of Dylan, Darrin, Carson and Tyson. Dear sister-in-law of Edna Grein, Marge Grein, Phyllis Grein and Anne Grein. Predeceased by parents John and Lena Grein and siblings Earl Grein, Velma (Walter) Burrel, Erma (Francis) Burrel, Reuben (Doris) Grein, Russel Grein, Jake Grein and John Grein. A private family graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, London. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Irene are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Neil, Ruth and family We would like to send our deepest sympathy on the recent loss of your Mother, Mother-in law and Grandmother. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Paul & Neil & families, We would like to extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of your mom. She was always very pleasant person. It's sad now that all our aunts & uncles are gone from the Grein family tree
To the Yandt family you have my deepest sympathy. Your mother was such an elegant lady. I always felt as long as she lived so would a part of Velma. They were 2 lovely ladies.
so sorry to heard about your mom she was great aunt and had lots of fun with her in my early years she great aunt always remember. I am glad that we had sometime together when dad died I will miss her very much
