It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis (Frank) Joseph Burns. With family at his side he left peacefully on Thursday, July 4th, 2013 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.  He was a loving father and papa to Michelle “Misha” and Jacob Burns.  A brother and uncle to his sisters Carol Burns and Pat and husband Ken DuFour and their children: Michael, Tammy and Myhia DuFour; Lisa, John, Shayla and Emma Anderson; Kerith and Ronin DuFour; Amy, Chris, Meghan and Matthew Cheatley; Andrew, Kayla and Landyn DuFour.  He joins his parents Joe and Mary Burns and nephew Kevin DuFour in heaven to watch over us.  Thank you to his VON nurses Louise and Mary-Ann and all the staff at Parkwood Hospital in London for their tireless efforts and continued support.  A special thank you to Dad’s wonderful nurse Melissa at Victoria:  you were absolutely wonderful during this last week – you really do have a calling.  Dad, you will be remembered for your huge smile and that twinkle in your eye that made everyone who came into contact with you smile as well.  You truly left this world the same way you lived… on your own terms.  You are loved and will be deeply missed by all your family and friends.  May you rest in peace.  The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, July 7th, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior.
