Return To The Earth Facing the day it wont go away I'm afraid Ever searching will it ever be the same Time is different colours fade to grey the chains holding signs full of agony and pain Make the sky turn black to white Make the night feel so alive You change the lives of the ones you meet Returning to the earth you plant a seed Feeling useless tied down and all alone All she ever wants is to feel needful Time goes by so fast its all downhill Battle all day long but still your courage kills Make the sky turn black to white Make the night feel so alive You change the lives of the ones you meet Returning to the earth you plant a seed Written by Mike Rusciolelli

To Carlotta's husband and Family ~ I lived next door to the McNeil family on Rosedale Ave. for several years in the 1970's while I was a young teacher at H.B. Beal S.S. where I had the pleasure of teaching most of Carlotta's brothers. Carlotta had just finished high school when I moved there. They were the very BEST neighbours and I have many happy memories of the 6 years I lived at "583" before marrying & moving to Niagara Falls. Georgina and I stayed in touch for over 35 years and she always sent news of her family at Christmas. But I did not have any news of them this Christmas & made some inquiries. I only learned today of Georgina's death and also of Carlotta's. Such sad, sad news. I am so sorry for your family's losses. I will always remember Carlotta as a beautiful, joy-filled young woman with a strong attachment to her wonderful family. Please accept my most sincere condolences on your profound loss. I will always recall the entire McNeil family with much fondness & will remember them in my prayers.

I have been so blessed to have had Carlotta in my life. She was the most genuine and lovely friend anyone could have had. She accepted me from our first meeting with kind eyes and unconditional love in her heart for someone she hardly knew. She taught me so much about being kind, and caring without prejudice. Her spirituality was evident in all things she did and said. Dave, Mark, Mike and Matt and Georgina your lives will never be the same but I know she left you all with strength you don't know you have. Things will be different but she will always be with you. Remember her smile and laugh - stay strong in your memories. "Love will keep you together"

In this moment of great loss and sadness, I remember the beautiful, caring, compassionate, sincere, and lovingly kind lady who always thought so much more of others than she did of herself. There are no words to describe such a loss to her husband and boys to whom she was completely devoted. My sincere condolences to Carlotta’s family and friends. May you rest in peace dear Carlotta and may your light shine down upon your family and bring them comfort knowing that your sweet nature has earned you a well deserved seat in heaven.

Dear Dave, Mark, Matt, Mike and your whole family, I always thought Carlotta could be described as an "angel" on earth! She always was caring for others in her quiet, thoughtful way. She was always first at your door with a lovely note and those wonderful butter tarts when something in your life went wrong! We will never understand why she was called to the Lord so early but I have a feeling she was needed for her special ways in heaven. She will be so missed as she was so loved. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With love, Diane and Roger

Dear David. Ana and I were saddened to hear of Carlotta's death. It was a huge privilege to work with her at St. Joseph's Hospital, and to get to know her patience, her generosity of spirit, her joy. She was easy to love and, now, it is difficult to realize she has gone from our lives. But she will still be very much alive in our memories. Our prayers are with you and with all of your family.

Words cannot express the sadness we feel by the loss of Carlotta. She was a wonderful friend, wife, mother, daughter and sister. We are thankful for our many years of friendship and all the great memories, joy and laughter that she gave to us. Dear Dave. I was shocked to read of Carlotta's death this morning. I know we have not seen each other in a long time, but I still cherish the time we shared with you as a couple. You and your family were a special part of our family for a number of years, on and off the ice. Joanne and I admired you as a couple who were truly in love. Graham and Mike were great friends for a while. I cannot fathom the size of the gap that Carlotta's absence will leave in the lives of you and the boys. My thoughts are with you all. If ever you need to talk, know I am here for you May God give you the strength to carry on. Paul
I have been blessed to have this lady as part of my life.. albeit much too short a time. I met Carlotta through work at St. Joseph's hospital and was always struck by the many friendships she had as well as the longevity of those friendships. It didn't take long to realize that of course that would be true as she was a genuine, gentle and warm spirit that you just wanted to be around. As our friendship continued after her retirement and branched out to new connections through our book club, we were continually blessed with being able to witness and experience a life full of gratitude, grace and faith. Carlotta, you still are a great example to myself and others as to how live life well... regardless of the number of days God grants us. And the angels undoubtedly are welcoming you in a chorus of " Well done, good and faithful servant." Our love extends to Dave and the boys. warmly, Jodi & Doug Beswick
