I was deeply saddened today to learn of the passing of my childhood friend, Joe. I have terrific memories of playing in our backyards in Oakridge Acres, when were about 10 years old; making forts in the woods by St. Martin in the Fields; snowball fights; going to grade school together at Notre Dame and lots of family fun. My deepest condolences to the Ryan family, Rose, Mark & Matt, your families, and your dear Mom, who was one of my Mom's closest friends. Joe had a wonderful, kind and true character. All of the Ryans do, including your Dad, who was Vice Principal at Oakridge while I attended there. Though we lost touch over the years, I will always remember Joe as a great friend. Truly, my deepest sympathies. He is missed.

I just saw at work at the Post Office today that Joe had passed away. I worked with Joe for years as a Lettercarrier and have fond memories of him with his canoe strapped to the roof of his car. I am so sorry to hear that he passed away and my sympathy goes out to his family. Rest in Peace Joe. Tobi - Postie

Joe was such a big part of our group of friends when we were in our 20's - parties, backyard BBQ's, going out for a night on the town - fun times and lots of laughs. I think back on those days with a smile on my face at the good memories. Joe you are in our hearts forever! Sending my deepest sympathy to his family.
