Ronald Ross Hockin

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 5th, 2014.  Beloved husband of Barbara for 60 years.  Loving father of Betty Ann and Cathy.  Cherished grandfather of Reagan and Andrew.  Predeceased by his brother Harold.  Ronald was a friend to many and always willing to lend a helping hand.  The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Salvation Army.

Ron and Barb, you have been an extended family to all of us. Ron will be missed but when I think of him and you Barb, it's with a smile on my face and a million memories come flooding back. Ron touched so many and I'm sure has a friend or two with him now. God love you all. Eric & Betty (Ehoo).

So very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. A long time friend from Portage and Egypt. We never lost touch over the years. He was Paul's playmate with his train. Enjoyed the times we had together. Barbara, Betty Ann & Cathy, We are so very sorry to hear about Ron's passing. We treasure our long-lasting friendship starting from 1964 in Goose Bay, Labrador where we were based together. We met again in Ottawa but were not posted to the same base while there. We were always excited to see you both, Barbara, at the MSE reunions. Up until now, we have kept in touch by e-mail.
