ECK, Lavern (Vern) Allen – At his home in London on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father and grandfather of: Larry Allen and his wife Lanita, and their daughters Lindsey and Lacey; Leslie Ann Henderson, and her husband James and their daughter Stephanie; and Laurie Alain Begis, and her husband Cooper, and their children Luke and Colby. As per Vern’s wishes, there will be no service in London. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the EMS crew, Firemen and Doctors at Victoria Hospital.
God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come to Me”.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

We are so sorry to hear of Lavern's death. We knew you both in Mineral Wells, Texas back in the early "50s. Wee enjoyed the time spent with both of you back then. I know God has been with you and your family during this very difficult time. Would love to hear from you.

Terribly sorry to hear about Vern's passing ! It has been a privilege to know and work with him over the years. He was always good to me. He was a good one...and he will be missed ! Barry
