To the Shoebottom Family - Doris, Ann, Danny and Mary -- We were very saddened to read of Richard's passing in the LFP. There are so many memories of time shared with your family in Centralia. Richard was always the "big brother" and I remember how he drove us to teen town, skating, bowling, etc. since he had his license before us. We also spent time together when our parents were together to play cards for the evening. So many happy times and I hope that you will cherish all of your happy memories of Richard and that they help you through this difficult time. Thinking of you. Most sincerely Sharon and Pat
Bob, Doris and family, We were very saddened to hear of Richard's passing. I always loved our spontaneous chit chats in walmart Parry Sound. He always accepted me, Abe, and especially Jessica and Kimberly, with openness and never a harsh word. Also he always asked how my other daughter Margaret was doing if she wasn't with me at the time. I will never forget when Richard and Bob arrived at Wendy's birthday party in their kilts and matching attire!! Such handsome gentlemen. Bob please keep in touch with Jessica and Kimberly as you were also a part of their lives, they will miss Uncle Richard terribly as will you all. Again our most deepest and sincere condolences ! Love, Janet, Abe, Jessica, Kimberly and Margaret

Happy times for all of us including George and Evelyn Budden, my grandparents. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind. I'll miss you Rick, but your smile and humour will remain with me. Mark

Dear Christine in family, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
I will always remember the second last time I saw Richard. We sat on the deck and shared food tips, plants and a good long chat. I will miss those times. Every time I look at my pink lily of the valley I will think of him. In keeping with Richard's love of nature, a tree has been planted in his memory. My sympathy to Bob and Richards family. A life lived to the fullest and now lost. Wendy Harlton

Danny and family, I just read about Richard's passing in the Lon, Free Press., and wanted to send my condolences to the entire family.. I remember your family as we all grew up in Centralia, and I always feel that sense of loss when I see another one from our old home town pass away. I remember Dan, hanging out with my brothers, Lloyd and Len Rimmmer, and seeing you at our house. This brings back a lot of good memories. Just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you during this very sad time, and hoping your memories of Richard will help you through this also. Thinking of you, Sincerely, Brenda Morgan/Rimmer
