HUCKLE, Norma Thompson
September 23, 1925 – July 5, 2014
Sadly, our mother passed away on Saturday, July 5th, at the age of 88, surrounded by the love of her family. Mom had pride in all six of her children and their partners: the late Brian, Sherry (Rob), Peter (Normie), Kevin (Sharon), Heather (Michael) and Holly (Henk) as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, sister, son Brian and grandson Sean. At her request, a small family service was held on July 8th, 2014. Mom had requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation or the London Humane Society.

An ex-mother -in-law but always a current friend. I'll think of your lovely smile often.
Rest in Peace Grandma Norma.
Thank you for my new family. May you rest in peace. You will be missed.
There ar few people that I have have met over my lifetime who have the wonderful depth of caring, love of her children and concern for others and embiding faith, than your Mom, Norma. I knew her as a fellow employee of Brant County Social Services in the 1980's and a friend since then. She headed the Placement Coordination Services (now Community Care Access Committees ) with the love and concern for the clients that she showed in every aspect of her life. Hers was not always an easy ride and she lived with faith and courage through it all and was an inspiration to us all. I will carry her as an inspiration with me always.

I'm so sorry to learn that Norma has passed away. We went to school together in Wallaceburg, and a mutual friend, Laureta "Peter" Henderson used to keep me updated on your mother. But Laureta also passed recently, so I haven't heard lately. Your mom was very special even before she was your mother: pretty and interesting; in the high school glee club and attending the wartime dances at our also-special Primrose Gardens. My sympathy to all of her family. I hope she and all of you are now at peace.
