Granddad was so proud of his four grandchildren: Alexa Vreman, Tony Vreman, Katie McLean and Brad McLean. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Marian King, brothers Jack, Tom and Clive and granddaughter Anna McLean. George had a heart for the land. Dear Gwen and family, Sorry to hear of George's passing. We remember times when we square danced with you folks at Castle Club. We also got together to play euchre. Always enjoyed visiting you in London in your beautiful home. May you be comforted by the happy memories that you cherish and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Doug and Rose-Marie
Dear Mrs. King and Family, After reading the obituary in the paper, I just had to write to send my condolences. My name is Cynthia Rhamey (Cindy Black, growing up) and I am the daughter of Ed and Vicky Black. As a child and as a teen working at Union Gas, I always looked forward to seeing Mr. King. He always had a smile for me and time for a little chat. My parents also thought the world of him. Dad worked with Mr. King at Union Gas and always regarded him with affection and with respect. Dad always said that Mr. King was kind, hard working and "a good man." Dad also really appreciated Mr. King's calls and visits when he was off work with a broken foot and broken arm and later when he was ill with cancer. Mom too, spoke very highly of "George King and his lovely wife Gwen." As you can tell, Mr. King made a difference to the Black family. Kind regards and best wishes for the days ahead. Sincerely, Cynthia Rhamey
Dear Mrs. King, Debbie, Bev and families, On behalf of Scott, Kaylyn, Victoria and myself - please accept our condolences on Mr. King's passing. We know that he will be missed by all who knew him. It was a privilege to grow up alongside your family and knowing Mr. King - skating, square dancing, music events etc. May God's peace be with all of you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Heather Conliffe Reid
I lost a friend on Thursday. George will be missed by everyone who knew him. I will miss his stories and jokes. I will miss George at our Union Gas breakfasts. They just won't be the same. My sincerest condolences to you Gwen and the family. Rest in peace, George.
Dear Gwen and Family, My sincerest sympathy to you all.. It was always such a pleasure to be with you and George at the Christmas dinners and other functions. George was always so kind and friendly and he knew so much about so many things. He shared his jokes and I was happy to be favoured with a rose from his garden. I am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle George. He was a great uncle. I spent many summer vacations with the family in London as a child and then later when I worked at CKSL in London, it was my home away from home. He had a great sense of humour and loved to keep the King cousins entertained. Who can forget the endless games of Wizard at every party?? He was always very caring toward his family and loved coming back to the Chatham, Tilbury area to see what had changed. I hope all the King boys are catching up already! All good memories. Love, Wendy
