Lyla Marie (Mason) Karges

With her family surrounding her, Lyla died peacefully at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her much loved husband, Clayton (2010), she leaves daughters Sylvia Wright (Archie) of London, Donna Karges also of London, Rosemary Bothwell (Rick) of Ilderton, and Maxine Lepitre (Gerald) of St. Thomas. Beloved Nana of six beautiful grandchildren and fourteen wonderful great-grandchildren. Many thanks to the second floor staff at Marian Villa for their gentle care and ever loving attempts to make Lyla’s stay there comfortable and happy. Lyla’s radiant smile and gentle approach to life’s many challenges have made lasting memories for her family and everyone who knew her. The funeral service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance, London Chapter, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

She spent many hours volunteering in the community through the church and Women's Institute.
