With the same quiet dignity that she lived her life, Phoebe Shields (nee Swallow) passed away at Westmount Gardens on Thursday, September 11, 2014, age 96. Loved wife of William Shields (deceased 1999). Beautiful and loved mother of Victoria Allum-Mellor (John) and William “Bill” Shields. Dear Grandmother of Kathleen Allum-MacKinnon (Paul), Shawna Allum-Schmidt (David) and Shazelle Santana. Proud Great-Grandmother of Alexis Santana, Matthew and Tyler Schmidt “the boys” and her “beautiful girls” Claire and Audrey MacKinnon. Fondly remembered by her former son-in-law Rick Allum. Sincere thanks to the caring staff at Westmount Gardens for their kindness and care of Mom. Please join the family in a celebration of a life well lived at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. In honour of Phoebe, please wear bright clothing to her celebration of life. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex or Women’s Community House would be appreciated.
