Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Victoria Hospital, London, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Jim Lindsay for 62 years. Wonderful mother of Cheryl Edwards (Jim), Patty Gross (Karl), Kathy Howes (David), Karen Carter (Chuck) and Arlene. Cherished Grandmother of 10; Great-Grandmother of 11; and special Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister-in-law June McMillan. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with family and friends being received from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Doreen are asked to consider Forward House of London or the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital.

To Dad Lindsay and all the “girls”. I was so very sorry to hear of Mom Lindsay’s passing. She was such a wonderful person, so kind and generous to everyone. I will always hold a very special place in my heart for her and for the good times and cups of tea we had together. We will all miss her strong spirit. To Uncle Jim, my cousins, Cheryl, Patty, Kathy, Karen, Arlene, I am very sorry for your loss. Aunt Doreen, was a beautiful, kind and loving person. She will live on in our memories forever. Much love to you all at this sad time. Linda and Tom
