MATE, Gregory Joseph
Nov. 6, 1967 – Sept. 13, 2014
We’ve lost one of the world’s “Great Ones”. After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Greg left us peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Lovingly devoted to his favourite daughter, Heather; and favourite son to his adoring mother, Eva. Also survived by his father, Joseph and his wife. Greg will be dearly missed by his maternal aunt, Agota Tenk and his cousins Stephanie, Jack, Joshua and Allison Bowes; Paul Tenk and Kim Finn; Christine and Michael Sedlak; Jeffery, Brianne and Griffin Tenk; Marty Tenk and Liz Gogol. Greg was born on November 6, 1967 in London, Ontario. He graduated Banting Secondary School and received a B.Sc. in Biology from Western University but his true passion was acting. Greg touched the lives of many in his unforgettable roles, especially as the beloved Count. One of Greg’s proudest achievements was directing and producing the full length feature, the Unexamined Life. Greg had a heart of gold and he will live on in the memories of his loving family, his many dear friends and his adoring fans in the London Acting Community. The biggest personalities leave the biggest holes and his place will never be filled. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. where the Masonic service under the auspices of Ashlar Lodge #610 will be held from 11:00-11:10 a.m. immediately followed by the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program.

Greg and I went to hig school together and we were in FFXV... Travelled across the country, sang, held hands and laughed at the stupid stuff we did as teenagers. He is an inspiration and will continue to live through our memories. Remember who he was and enjoy the memories! Rest in peace my friend! I will always remember your laugh! Peace to your family! So glad we got to be 'Prescious friends' . Xoxo
