My sincere condolences to Dr. Currie's family. I have many fond memories of working with her at Centralia College.

My condolences to the family and friends of Violet Currie. In the late 70's, I was a student at Centralia College of Agricultural Technology. This is where I met Dr. Currie. She was the nutrition teacher for our course in "Community Home Economics". She was a no-nonsense teacher. I often felt that she was teaching Nutrition at the University level. We were challenged, and she taught with conviction. We learned that nutrition was vital to good health! With Dr. Currie's encouragement and support, I graduated with honours. As students, we knew that Dr. Currie was doing research into beans and lentils, and as a woman of her word, she went onto publish a cookbook...yes, I have her cookbook, "Full of Beans". Thanks Dr. Currie for your dedication! Kindly, Judy Fricker (Scidmore)
