Cam DeMarchi
February 17, 2015
Peacefully, surrounded by family at University Hospital on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the age of 79, after a long and courageous battle with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). Loving husband of Ginet for 55 years. Dear father of Dale DeMarchi (Suzzie), Susan Roy (Michael), and Kevin DeMarchi. Cherished Papa of Nolan and Karsen Roy; Nathaniel and Bryant DeMarchi. Brother of Sam DeMarchi (the late Zaiga) and Tillie Maine. Brother-in-law of Norina, the late Gino Goegan and his wife Carole. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Coniston, Ontario, and predeceased by his parents Maria and Guglielmo. Cam had a successful real estate career in London with Canada Trust. He was an avid golfer and member at Highland Country Club for many years. He will be missed by friends and acquaintances alike. Cam inspired us with his humility and sense of humor while facing the effects of CBD. We are forever thankful to the AOS Day Program at McCormick Home, Dr. Mary Jenkins and the Neurology team, and Dr. Sharon Koivu and the Palliative Care team at University Hospital. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. GEORGE PARISH, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cam’s honour may be made to the McCormick Home Foundation (AOS Day Program) or the charity of your choice.

Dale & Sue Sorry to hear of your dad's passing. May he rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences to you and your families during this time. Our thoughts are with you. With love, Willowbrook Public School Staff
I hope that in due time you receive God’s peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. As you know, God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Rest assured that he cares for all his creatures and he would never bring us suffering. A soothing scripture is Psalm 34:18 which reads: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Sincerely.

Ginet & family, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. Cam was a childhood friend in Ciniston who made us laugh & enjoy his presence at our neighbourhood gatherings. I remember the last time we spoke to him was at the OTOW Dance. He was always jovial. May the good memories help you and your loving family through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Cam. Sincerely, Ida & Chic Ceccarelli

Ginet and family, I am so sorry for your loss. From the moment we met Cam 50 years ago as our neighbour, he touched our lives with his humour, kindness and zest for life. We are truly blessed to have had Cam and all of your family as a part of our family. I know that our mother Anne, will be waiting for him with open arms.
Ginet and family. we are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Cam was always such fun, full of life an inquisitiveness. We know that the past few years had been difficult but we are sure that he is in the loving arms of God. We wish you all well, you are all in our prayers and know that he left you with great memories. Those memories will be with you often - especially the great, funny moments that were a part of daily life.
I am truly sorry for your loss. No doubt Cam enriched your lives. No one better than God, understands the depth of your pain and can help you cope with your disquieting thoughts. Thus, I hope that in due time, your family receives God’s peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. God is love and he cares for all his creatures. He is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Also, may the resurrection hope in the new world, and knowing that "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves" bring you emotional support. (Psalm 34:18; John 6:40)
