I only just learned of Mort's passing. I am so sorry for Mort's family. I had the privilege of working with Mort when he was Ontario VP and President of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada while I was National Treasurer. Mort was a steady had to all of us on the executive during those difficult years with only two seats in Parliament. Mort made a difference to our Leaders, not our Party and therefore to our country every single day during those years. He was a fine man, dedicated, funny, compassionate and very loyal. All of us from that time will always remember him fondly and miss him deeply.

My deepest sympathy to Michelle and family. Two of our mutual friends sent me the article regarding Mort's death that appeared in The London Free Press. I am out of the country for several months, so was unable to get to the service this morning. Mort was a joy to work with, and one of the most reliable people that I have ever encountered.

Michelle and Gillian, please accept my sincere condolences. Mort was a class act, a pillar of the community, a sincere friend and most importantly your loving husband and father. There are numerous memories to pull from when you need. I am actually smiling at some of the stories that have been shared over the years. Boy, he sure knew how to live life well and so many benefitted from his commitment to being true to the essence of Mort. Love you both.

Dear Michelle I have just heard of Mort's passing. In the over 30 years that I worked with Mort, I found him to be a true gentlemen. The best accomplishment of a man during his lifetime is that he loved his family and was an honorable man. His wonderful sense of humour (in particular at our annual golf outing) will surely be missed. May you and Gillian only celebrate good times in the future. Sincerely, Hushy and Anna
