Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his life Marion, for 62 years, and his family at Henley Place on Friday, September 4, 2015, 12 days before his 90th birthday. Bruce was a teacher for over 35 years, and an avid traveler. Proud and loving dad of Susan (Jeff) Schmidt, Greg (Kris) Denstedt and Mark Denstedt, all of London. Devoted Papa of Kevin, Lindsay, Jenna (Justin), Andrew, Angela (David) and Sarah. Dear brother of Jean Toman and brother-in-law of Helen Keene. Survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Helen, and brothers-in-law Eldon, Earl and Clyde. The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to the administration and staff of Henley Place, especially in Fanshawe Park Neighbourhood, for all the love and care they provided Bruce during his stay. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m., and Rev. Canon Dr. Timothy G. Connor officiating the service. Private family interment of cremated remains at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the Alzheimer Outreach Services (Day Program) of McCormick Home, St. George’s Anglican Church – Accessible Faith or to a charity of your choice.

Dear Marion, We are so sorry for your loss. Words can't express how welcome you and Bruce made us feel when we moved to University Heights. Lots and lots of fond memories you are in our thoughts often.

Dear Sue: I wish I was able to get away and pay my respects to your dad in person. Please know you, your mom and your brothers are all in my heart today. Your dad was an amazing man and the friendship he forged with my dad, and by extension, your family with ours, is something I'll treasure forever. Cherish your wonderful memories and -- trust me -- those will always be with you in the years to come.

My sincere condolences to Bruce's entire family. He will truly be missed by them all. I was fortunate to have him as a teacher in Thamesford and I certainly enjoyed teaching his children at University Heights. He will be with us all in spirit and his enthusiasm and wonderful personality will remain with us forever.
Dear Marion. I want to express my condolences on the passing of your dear husband. I have good memories of the way Bruce kidded my mom Jean when they talked and of the stories mom and dad shared of the holidays they went on with the Robert Q group from London. Very sorry about your dad Sue...I lost my mother in July and I know it is so hard to say goodbye to a beloved parent.But they are with the angels now waiting for the day we will all be together again.RIP. Thinking of you Sue. Barb
