Kingsley ‘King’ Stephen Perry

I have known King since our early days of radio sales in Sarnia at CKJD. King was always my trusted friend. The person who was always on the right side of any situation...and in radio there are many situations that could go either way! King always took the higher road with nobility, patience, kindness and just about every other adjective you can name that speaks to a beautiful person. I send his children and grand children much love and huge condolences. I know you must feel that you have lost a secure anchor in a world of insecurity and craziness. I have also worked with King since the early 70's at CKJD later at CJBK and BX93. He was full of kindness and integrity and an absolute blast to work with! My heart felt condolences to Andrew, Maggie and all his family and friends who grieve his loss. Garry Parsons.

King was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I worked with him almost 30 years ago as well and remained friends. He had a great sense of humour that was passed on to everyone that he came in contact with. We had many conversations about his family who he loved very much, the world in which King always saw the upside no matter how bad the situation was and of course, politics. I first met King when we worked together at CKAR AM I Huntsville as young radio announces in 1964. Although we went in different directions, our paths crossed many times over the years. At one point, we both worked at Rogers. I was with CHFI FM in Toronto, King was with CKJD AM in Sarnia. We both spent a week in Spain helping to host a client appreciation trip. While there, we both took a side trip to Morocco were King purchased a leather hat an a sword. (Why a sword, I will never know) Although airlines were more flexible then, Kings sword was over the top and upon arrival in Montreal, customs took the sword. Although dejected, King still had his hat! King Perry was a true gentleman. Everyone loved him. He was a friend and colleague. Bon Voyage, King. You will be missed. George Grant

When I first got started in Radio at London's CJBK, King and I sat side by side in the sales office. I will not forget the advice and guidance he gave me to start my radio career off on the right foot. I will also not forget the kidding back and forth and the overall good times we had working together before King decided to retire. Thank you King for the great conversations and the laughs. You will be missed by so many.

So deeply sorry to hear that King passed away. He was such a kind kind man, I will miss our lunches together to catch up...there was so much laughter. I can still see him shake his head and hear him say "oh Vickie my dear" (whenever I said something a little colourful). I met King when the radio station was owned by Radiocorp and he was always smiling..he had the best smile. He will deeply missed! RIP my friend!

I’m so grateful that King was my friend for just about my entire adult life. He was a such dear friend of our whole family. What I’ll remember most? The smiling! My mom and I would always mention that after you had been on the phone with King or had spent any amount of time with him, you’d notice after that your face hurt! Because you had been grinning from ear to ear the whole time. That’s what I’ll remember most. Our lives are better because of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Andrew, Maggie & family. I have known King since my early times in radio. He was a brave man. A courageous man. A friend to all. A happy person who loved to laugh a lot. He always looked on the brighter side of life. And even though my radio days are well behind me, I often met King in many places around London. He never changed. He was always the same warm gentleman I had come to know years ago. King will be missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who were his friends, his family. My sincere condolences to his children, Maggie, and Andrew, and his grandchildren. He often spoke about you. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
