Peacefully, surrounded by her family at University Hospital on Friday, October 16, 2015, Betty Lou McKellar, of London, in her 84th year. Dear friend of the late Ian McKellar. Beautiful and loving mother of Ann McKellar-Gillis (Don), of Yellowknife and Mary Matthias (Jude Dacosta), of London. Dear grandma of Natasha Ellingson (Trevor), Amanda Rostron (Derek), Michael Matthias and Jaslin McKellar; great-grandmother of Megan, Connor, Greta, Ellar and Astrid. Missed by daughter-in-law Linda Robbins, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Ian and great-granddaughter Angela. Betty Lou was a long-time employee of Bell Canada and a cherished 18-year resident at Chelsey Park. Special “thank you’s” to Betty Lou’s “extended family and friends” at Chelsey Park, and to nurse Kim Bryans for the lovely and compassionate care during her final days. A Celebration of Life will be held at CHELSEY PARK NURSING HOME, 310 Oxford Street West, London, on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Was sorry to read in the Free Press of BettyLou's passing. Would see her out and about in her chair and check in with her, and Walker Schofield tried many times to get her to come down to Metro Morning but she did come down to the Christmas Candlelight service last December. Sympathy from Metropolitan United Church Family.
