to Rev. Charles family, It has been such a joy and privilege to be Rev. Charles minister and friend these many years along with his son David, and my thoughts and prayers are with you Sheila and your family as you celebrate his life and remember such a remarkable man. I remember the joyful event of your wedding day and how happy Charles was to be twice blessed in life, first with Dorothy and then with you. A favourite memory of many for me is his reading on our Remembrance day services, the scriptures with all that his incredible oration brings to anything he reads or a story he tells or sermon he preaches. Again, I am blessed to have known such a wonderful man of faith and convictions who loved his family, his community and Lord. God bless all of you. The Reverend Canon Janet Lynall.

~ Reverend Canon Janet Lynall

Dear Graham and David. You won't remember me but I worked with your mom at Eatons (Dorothy) in the sixties and seventies. Your mom and dad belonged to the same lodge as my mom, Shirley McKinlay, back in the fifties, sixties and beyond. Your dad was a beautiful piano player and your mom a lovely singer. I am so very sorry for you loss. I was unaware Dorothy had passed. Sheila, my sincere sympathy to you as well. Charles was a wonderful man and you both were blessed to find love again. Sending prayers of comfort to you all.

My thoughts are with my father, Graham, his wife, Pennie, my uncle David, Destiny, Paul and Logan; I am by your side in spirit though an ocean may separate us geographically. Today I am filled with wonderful memories of my first trip to Europe with Grandad and Dot for my sixteenth birthday, where my love for travel, languages and different cultures first took root. I send my sincerest condolences to Sheila; thank you for the loving, active life you built and shared with my grandfather. 💐 My heart goes out to you all today and through this difficult time.

~ Reuben

To Graham, David, Sheila and family. It was with the greatest sadness to hear of Uncle Bob’s passing so soon after my Mother (his sister). He was my link to our Canadian branch of the family, sharing information about the family so I could fill in our family tree. Will miss our telephone chats & emails. My thoughts & prayers are with you all today. Love Niece Frances, Great Nephew Tristan & Great Niece Sam

Our sincere condolences & deepest sympathy to Sheila & both the Wright & Cameron families. Death of a loved one is never easy but there should be some joy in celebrating Charles' long, fruitful, meaningful time here on this earth, & in knowing how many people he touched with his kindness, caring, humour and Christian values. He will be sorely missed & sadly we shall not meet his like again. In the Biblical sense Charles was a "Gentle Man" & "a Man without Guile"! To paraphrase St Paul: Charles has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the Faith & now has reaped his reward! May he rest in peace! May God's "Amazing Grace" be with you all during the difficult days ahead. Sadly we were unable to visit with you nor attend the funeral due to only finding out afterwards. We first me Charles because of his friendship with my eldest brother Frank during WWII in the Fleet Air Arm. Then by coincidence or fate our paths crossed 50 years later! Love, Hugs & Blessings & Hugs. Paul & Theresa

Condolences to Charles extended family, will always remember his talks about starting IPA Canada and IPA USA, he will be missed .

~ Allen Welke

My sympathies go out to the family. Charles lived a full and service centred life. He touched many. As a former prosecutor, I knew Charles as a competent and compassionate member of the LPS when he acted as a court officer. As a leader and builder, his role in founding the Canadian International Police Association, and co-founder of the American International Police Association is laudable. He will be missed by many who have good memories of their association with this quite remarkable man.
