From the Hackney Family So sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful lady and we have many fond memories of visits with both your mom and dad when we lived in Toronto and Windsor. When I was in my early 20's your parents took me into their home so I could be with a friend who had surgery in London. I still have a pin your mom gave me when I finally went back to Windsor when my friend was released. I'm sure as Ken said above it would be a great reunion for her. To my Great Grandmother...it has always been an honour and a privilege to share the same birthday with you. I loved knowing that you were always exactly 50 years older than me! Thank you for the family dinners and home movies, ping pong and crokinole...your home in Byron holds some of my best childhood memories. So on this sad, frosty February morning I will shed some tears for "Big Grandma" but take solace in knowing that you are once again with the man that stole your heart at 17.

Hey Mom, you always had two greatest loves in this life. One was Dad and the other was Jesus. I smile when I think of you with them and the joy you must feel at this time. What a family reunion it must have been. Not only seeing Dad, but your mother and father, all your sisters and so many of your dearest friends. I am grateful for the time we had together and appreciate your example to us of a godly mother and faithful wife. I miss you, and will see you soon.

I was so sorry to read that your mother had passed away. My mother, Iva Hayden, lived just down the corridor from your mom, in Unit 209 on Commissioners Road in Byron. Mom eventually had to sell her condo as she required more care and moved to Ashwood Manor in Lambeth. At that time, she tried to talk your mother into moving there with her. Unfortunately, mom passed away before your mother moved into Ashwood. I did have the opportunity of speaking with your mom at the Ashwood Manor Christmas Party a few years ago when I was visiting a family friend, also a resident, Marjorie Ward. We have wonderful memories of Betty,not only through our church but living in the same building as my Mom,Helen Hills. I know she is rejoicing now being with her family and friends. Betty I look forward to seeing you again.

Many years have come and gone since our friendship with the Freebairn Family when your family lived in Grand Bend. Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Ken, I still remember your Dad coaching and you playing goal for the GB team in the go0d ol' Thedford arena. May memories of both your Mom and Dad help your families at this time. Freebairn Family: Sorry to read of your Mom's passing. It has been a lot of years since last seeing all of you but still have fond memories of our vacation time in Grand Bend. Diane you used to babysit us when all the parents (mine were Barnie and Gloria) went out for dinner. May all your memories give you comfort at this difficult time. Because of those memories she will live on in your hearts.
