Christen Randolph Schomburg
May 21, 2016
After a very long battle with cancer, diabetes and dementia, Christen Randolph “Randy” Schomburg, of London, succumbed to his illnesses on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in his 65th year. Survived by his devoted wife, Lynne, of 44 years. He will be dearly missed by his loving children Terryl Campbell (Phill), and Scott Schomburg (Crystal). Very proud Poppa of Serena and Cole Campbell, and Cole, Chase and Cameron Crichton. Dear brother of Stephen (Susan) and David (Hannah). He will be fondly remembered by his special friends, Tim and Nancy Fletcher. Over the last 13 months Randy’s health deteriorated rapidly, and was no longer able to stay at home. His “home away from home” was at Country Terrace in Komoka, where he received loving and exemplary care until his death. The staff made this difficult transition much easier for Randy, and the entire family. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Randy’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Randy are asked to consider the Children’s Health Foundation or Canadian Mental Health Association.

Dear Lynne, Scott & Terryl and your families. Our hearts are sad for the loss of your dear father and Lynne, your husband. Our warm embrace surrounds all of you during this time and our thought and prayers are with you. Brian and Kate
Lynne, Terryl, and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it's been a long illness for you all, and I hope you find some peace in Randy's passing. Thinking of you at this time.
Lynne and family, Our thoughts are with you at this time. Lynne, you and Randy were so good to my parents and we still enjoy the photos that Randy took at the time of their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Lynne, Terryl, Phill, Serena and Cole What a lucky man Randy was to have such a devoted and loving family. It is not the quantity of years that we are here, but the quality of our lives that count. I hope that you were all able to tell him how important he was and how much you loved him. Now that he is at peace, I hope that peace will find a place in all of your hearts. Stephanie, Doug, Stephen and Brian.
Lynne and family Please accept my heartfelt condolences re: Randy's passing. We shared many lunches, visits and laughs together over the years and I will miss him. He was a great co-worker at Heinz and an even better, true friend. An all around great guy. Due to scheduling conflicts, I extend my apologies as I will be unable to attend the funeral. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Gord Ciliska
