Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in his 87th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Marilyn (neé Harvey) for 61 years. Loving father of Kevin (Lesley), Brenda Davie (Perry), Rebecca Hulley (Jim), and David (Peggy). Proud Poppa of Andrew, Matthew, Jennifer, Jacob, Mitch, Amy, Elizabeth and Brett, and great-grandpa of Sammy and Alison. Predeceased by his sister, Marian Horwatich (Emil). Bert was a gentle and patient man who will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. Private inurnment has taken place at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bert are asked to consider The Arthritis Society.
