Peacefully at her home in London on Monday, September 5th, 2016 at the age of 84. Cherished mother of Pamela Love (Peter Murphy) of Toronto and her late son, John Love. Beloved grandmother of Scott and Douglas Robertson. Predeceased by her sister Betty Flear and her husband Don, and by her brother Harry Armstrong. Especially remembered by Steve Flear (Mathilda), Scott Flear (Monique) and Sue Morley (Neil) and their families as well as many close, wonderful friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street, London, on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jean are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Jean was a lovely, positive and valued member of our RTO Book Club. Her special presence and beautiful smile will definitely be missed. We are so very sorry for the loss of your mother , grandmother and friend. She indeed was a good friend to all with whom she met. May your wonderful memories comfort you in the days to come. She will be missed.

I knew Jean through the bridge club. She was a wonderful player and was always patient with those of us who stumbled a bit with bidding and playing at times. Her ability to play a No Trump hand was really quite brilliant and I learned a lot from her over the years. I am sorry to have to miss her Memorial Service but my thoughts and prayers will be with you, Pam, and the others in attendance on Nov. 5th as they say their last goodbyes that wonderful lady who was Jean.

Hi Pam I was shocked today to learn of Jean's passing. As you may know, after growing up together in the Hensall area, Jean was maid of honour at our wedding and we were so pleased that she was able to attend our 50th anniversary at our farm in Mulmur. She was such fun to be with and became friends with many of my nursing classmates. Many memories come to mind of our times together. It is hard to realize that she is no longer with us. To Jean's family, Jean and I shared a love of reading and learning in two groups. We studied and laughed together with Barb Graham's group at Met, and we shared and discussed wonderful books with members of a retired teacher's book club. I want you to know that my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Jean was alway so kind and thoughtful. She shared her knowledge and ideas with such gentle grace. We will miss her. Dear Pam I just wanted to offer my deepest sympathy on the death of your mother . I was friends with Jean for many years although had not been in contact with her for the last 3 or 4 years. I do think of Jean and the many good times we had together as well occasionally we played bridge together. I will miss her.

Dear Pam: It seems years ago that you worked for me at the Board of Education Office in London. Remember typing catalogue cards all summer? You were a great gal and so patient. I remember the first time I met your Mother. at Metropolitan. She reminded me of your summer job and wanted to tell me all about what you were presently doing. She joined the book discussion group at Metropolitan and has been a faithful member for over 20 years. There wasn't a month go by that she did not tell me about your "doings". She was so proud of you. We have all been shocked with the news of Jean's passing. You and Jean are in my mind and heart as the days proceed. Remember,nothing loved is ever lost. I'll miss seeing Jean around Oakridge , mostly in the grocery store. Jean was a friend of some of my nursing classmates and I got to know her through them . She sometimes came to our reunions. She also taught my daughter. Always enjoyed seeing her and sharing a giggle or two. Her friendly smile gave me a lift . Jean will be in our thoughts and hearts. Lucy Williams
