Of London, died peacefully on Thursday, November 10th at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Rose Mary Mizzi (née Farrugia). Cherished father of Josephine Mizzi-Sloman and Lawrence Mizzi (Karen). Dear grandfather of Tyson Mizzi, Joshua Mizzi (Emily Oudyk) and Craig Sloman (Dawn). Missed by his brothers Laurence Mizzi (Carrie), Tony Mizzi (Emily), sisters Annie Scicluna, Grace Gatt (Frank) and Doris Schembri (Tony) and sisters-in-law Antoinette Grech (Felix) and Maria Farrugia. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Caterina Mizzi, son-in-law Raymond Sloman, brother George Mizzi (Mary), brothers-in-law George Farrugia and Leli Scicluna. Carmelo was the manager of housekeeping at St. Joseph’s Health Care for many years. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 777 Valetta Street, London, on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Carmelo are asked to consider The Kidney Foundation of Canada, McCormick Dementia Services or Hope for Rural Children and Orphans.
