Arthur John Vosding

January 26, 2017

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario at the age of 67, after a valiant 15 year battle with cancer, with a loving circle of family around him. Beloved husband of 13 years of Diane Greenhalgh-Vosding. Devoted father of Rhonda Conaway, her husband Tommy and their children Alyssa, Dylan and Kacey of Denver; and son Adam Vosding of Tampa, FL. Also survived and treasured by his mother Amy Nichol of Chatham; his sister Vanessa Mifsud (Wass) and her husband Carlos; Nephew Jay Stirling and his wife Cher and their son Loki of St. Marys. Sadly missed by brother-in-law Robert Greenhalgh of Kitchener; brother-in-law Brock Greenhalgh and his wife Janice of Kitchener and their sons Aiden and Bryn. Also grieved by his first wife and mother of Art’s children, Linda Vosding of Tampa, FL. Arthur is predeceased by his father Arthur John Vosding Sr. (1967), who was an OPP Constable. Art’s passion was always his family, who were drawn to Florida where they spent many years enjoying the sun, the beach and each other. He loved playing golf and following sports. He was respected in his career of car sales and viewed his colleagues and clients as dear friends. Music was always in his heart and at his fingers. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Art’s medical “team” whose expertise and compassion helped him to enjoy many full years. A Celebration of Life will be held at SPRUCEDALE UNITED CHURCH, 493 Victoria Avenue, Chatham, on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to wear orange and blue in honour of Art’s love for the Florida Gators. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Art are asked to consider Childhood Cancer Canada, the Ontario SPCA or CK Animal Rescue.

Art’s wish was for us all to “Enjoy the Ride”.

As one of those Florida Car Sales co-workers, Art was always a joy to work with. I especially enjoyed his great sense of humor. He will be missed.

Diane, Rob, Brock & Janice: Our deepest condolences on the passing of Art. I still remember you winning the contest held in the local paper on your "love story" reconnection and I know you have many other treasured memories of your years together. His deviled eggs at our gatherings were always a hit! May you find comfort knowing that he is now at peace and not in pain and others share in your sorrow. Our sincere sympathy to all of you.
