It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing at home of Annette Jean Mainstone (Hackett) in her 88th year. Loving wife and best friend to her husband of 69 years, Dennis. Annette will be deeply missed by her children, Warren, Pam Matheson (Sterling) and Wendy Wallace (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Steve Mainstone (Renee), Rob Mainstone (Niki), Traci Mainstone, Trisha Matheson (Jay), Cindy Matheson (Brad), Quincy Wallace, Georganne Wallace and Austin Wallace. Great grandmother of Guerin, Ashlyn, Robyn, Lauryn, Ava, Shayla and Katherine. Survived by one brother Bob Hackett (Bernice) and numerous nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents Jack and Charlotte and mother-in-law Olive, sister Dorothy, sisters-in-law Doreen, Linda, Babe, brothers-in-law Donald, Vince and Don. Family was Annette’s first and foremost love followed by summers on Manitoulin Island, and winters cheering on her beloved London Knights. She also loved her bingo and the Toronto Blue Jays. Our family wishes to thank the Adult Day Program at McCormick Dementia Services, Dr. Ken Leslie, nurse Ruthann, Dr. Paul Ferner, nurse practitioner Ann and heartfelt thanks to Palliative care nurse Stacey Bergeron who helped our family more than words can say. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Herb Summers officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Annette are asked to consider the Adult Day Program at McCormick Dementia Services.

The Olacke family is saddened by Annette's passing. We enjoyed the many times together on Manitoulin as Annette and family spent most July months at Campsite #1 in Stanley Park which sits next to our place. Annette provided love and support for her family and friends. We will miss the dinners out at Garden Gate and Red Lodge where many a fine time was had. The shores of Lake Mindemoya were blessed with one Special lady indeed and will forever remember her. HUGS to all.
Dennis and Annette would often surprise me with a visit at work after getting her hair done, looking like a million dollars and a smile as big as can be I will miss those times for sure and will cherish them forever Cindy

My deepest sympathies Pam and Sterling on the passing of your mom. I remember the last time I saw her and her smile. She was planning on going to Manitoulin and having family there of course. So many happy times over the years that we hold as dear memories. Debbie
We are grateful for Aunt Annette and Uncle Dennis witnessing their great love for each other and family. Aunt Annette's humour, kindness, care for others and hospitality, especially during my university days in London, were pure gifts. I remember calling when I got my first apartment there and asking Aunt Annette how to cook a roast. The roasts were never as tasty and tender as hers. We have been blessed by her life and give thanks.
My condolences to my good friend Warren and the family. May she rest in peace.

Uncle Dennis and Aunt Annette would just pop in to our house every once in a while and we'd just sit and talk for hours. That is something my wife and I will miss.c
