Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, May 25th, 2017, Nancy Elizabeth Searle, of London, in her 60th year. Cherished sister of John Searle (Gillian Mayne), Catherine Brown (Peter) and Doug Searle (Anita). Beloved and cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews: Karlee, Nathan and Claire. Predeceased by her parents Elmore and Dorothy Searle. Nancy was blessed to have had many lifelong friends who truly loved, laughed, and cared for her. She will be remembered by all for her loving and joyful personality. The family wish to express their very heartfelt thanks to those at the McCormick Home for their unwavering compassion and comfort. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Nancy are asked to consider the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation.

Very saddened to see the announcement, in the latest Western Alumni Gazette. I knew Nancy since Oakridge H.S.. I just wanted to say that she was a lovely and kind person back when I knew her at Oakridge. Even though we weren't 'best friends', she seemed to project a genuine warmth towards everyone around her, and a naturalness that made her very likeable. I'm sure you've all had a heart-breaking time lately, and so I hope it helps in some way to know that many people like me remember Nancy in a positive and affectionate way. So sorry for the pain she had to go through, and the loss you have all been dealing with. Please know that Nancy will not be forgotten.
John, I was so sorry to read about your sister Nancy. I only met her once at an Oakridge reunion but she was a lovely women. You have my deepest sympathies
Nancy's positivity and true strength over the past several years has been such an inspiration for so many. She was such a joy to be with and we will always remember her for that. Nancy will be dearly missed but will always live strong in our hearts. Linda and Mike

Dear Cathy , John and family, my thoughts are with you. I will always remember Nancy on a beach in Florida or Bayfield walking in the water with her "hot pink" bathing suit. She was a very strong, artistic woman with a sense humour. Dear Nancy rest in peace. Suzie

I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I went to Oakridge in Grade 9 and knew her and her sister Cathy. I missed the great Oakridge reunion so wasn't able to reconnect, but am wishing Nancy's family love and peace and knowing that Nancy is in a better , peaceful place. My thoughts and condolences to all.
