Peacefully on Wednesday, May 31st, 2017, Dorothy Margaret Babenko, of London, in her 87th year. Born in County Down, Northern Ireland. Cherished wife of the late William Gregory Babenko. Loving mother of Yolanda Babenko-Mould (Graham), Gregory Babenko and Serge Babenko (Colleen). Cherished Grandmother of Ian, Owen, Caelan and Braedan. Missed by her sister Rosena McCartan, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends ‘back home’ in Northern Ireland. Missed also by her daughter-in-law Colleen McElhone-Babenko. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Doyle, Rita O’Connell and Elizabeth Irvine; and by her brothers Joe, Patrick and Jim McCartan. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Sunday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. (with prayers at 8:45 p.m.) as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel on Monday, June 5th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dorothy are asked to consider the charity of their choice.
