Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Riggs

I just saw this and am sending my condolences to Scott and Laura and family. I knew Beth as a child. She was my best friend when we were 5 and 6 years old, and then I moved to North Bay, Ontario. I tried to get in contact with her when we were both in university and I was at UWO, but we never managed to connect. She was a wonderful, kind and vivacious friend and she had a strong impact on me. I have many great memories of us playing and having fun. She is missed.

I worked with Beth for a few short years and in that time developed a great friendship. She was a beautiful person and the whole world will miss her. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

I have had the privilege of Beth coming to my aid many times when it came to clinical informatic questions. Always kind and helpful. In a word - lovely. I only learned recently that she was ill, so the news of her passing is so very sad to hear. My condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

I am saddened to learn of Beth's passing. I have fond memories of the times together with the Riggs and the Burgards while growing up. Beth was always a bright light. Forever missed. Strength to Laura and Scott and their families.

Since hearing of Beth's passing, she has been in my thoughts. I am deeply saddened and wish to offer Scott, Laura and their families my condolences. The years go by quickly and it has been a while but I can still hear Beth's voice. All the times I spent at the Riggs home in Orchard Park are treasured memories. Beth lives in my mind as the happy teenager of those days.

To Laura and Scott and Families. Beth will be sorely missed. I know her passing has left a huge hole in all of your hearts. I remember such wonderful times with your sister and parents, times I hold dear in my heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace and comfort in your family and friends and know there truly is another angel in heaven who will guide you along the way. Dear Laura, Blake and Connor, My heartfelt thoughts are with each of you. I can't think of one time when Beth and and I met, when she didn't gush with love and pride about all of you. I, too, worked with Beth at the hospital and really enjoyed our talks and lunches. She was such a kind, beautiful and caring person. Always looking on the bright side of life. So sad to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to you all.

I was heart broken to hear of Beth's passing and wanted to express my most sincere sympathy to the family during this difficult time. Beth was a dear friend, college and respected member of our team. For those of us that had the privilege of knowing her, we were humbled by her kindness , compassion and love of life. My condolences to Beth's family and friends. Beth and I shared the common interests of Clinical Informatics and the philosophy around Hospice Care. It was a pleasure to work with Beth in both regards. I will not forget her smile, sense of humour, and grace.

It is hard to forget someone that has personally given us so much to remember. We cherished Beth's kind and straightforward friendship. She was loving and fiercely loyal to all of those whom she loved and loved her. As one of the funniest and bravest woman we have ever had the pleasure to know, she was taken from us FAR too soon. I had the pleasure of working with Beth in Clinical Informatics as well as volunteering at St. Joseph's Hospice. I will always remember her beautiful smile, gorgeous curls and last message to me: "don't put anything off, enjoy life now". You will be greatly missed Beth.
