Peacefully, with family by her side, Dorothy passed away on Saturday, December 9th, 2017, at the age of 94. Predeceased by her beloved husband, William Sewell; son, Brian; and grandson, Brent. Loving Mom to Sheila (Don) Richardson, Bev (Daryl) Engstrom and Jeff (Judy) Sewell. Affectionately known as Grandma ‘Do’ to her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Sister to Nona, the late Beatrice and Gladys. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of McCormick Home for their dedicated care and compassion. A private service was held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church in London to honour Dorothy’s life. Those wishing to make a donation in Dorothy’s memory are asked to consider the McCormick Care Foundation.

Dorothy and her husband Bill were a blessing to our Church of the Ascension in Hamilton. Now, may she too be blessed with seeing the face of our Jesus. Dorothy's role model style in life lives on in many of us. The memory of a good person is a blessing. Proverbs 10:7
