Florence Elizabeth George (nee Glover)
January 25, 2019
Passed away surrounded by love and family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario, on Friday, January 25, 2019. Loving wife for 58 years of the late Charles George. Devoted mother of Garvey (Diane) George of Pickering, and Melanie George (Paul) of London. Predeceased by her daughter Karen George Michel and all of her siblings: William Glover, Kathleen Hunt, Lorna Collard and Harold “Junior” Glover. Beth will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Chris (Mahreen), Becky (Dale), Jessica (James) and Megan, as well as great-grandchildren; Inara, Nissa, Mehkai, Aleksandra and Lyryck. A farmer’s daughter who became a farmer’s wife, Beth enjoyed many rural challenges and adventures both in Fingal and Belmont, Ontario. Her legendary quilting and knitting skills are providing many lasting memories for friends and family, and will ensure that her memory will live on. We wish to extend a profound ‘thank you’ to the St. Joseph’s Hospice staff and volunteers for the magnificent care and compassion shown to Beth and her family during her last few weeks of life. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one and a half hours prior. Interment at Dorchester Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice would be gratefully welcomed.

We would like to express our condolences to Beth's family. We lived next door to Beth in Byron for over 6 years. A lovely lady, kind, intelligent and a great sense of humour. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
