Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen “I” Pandke (2007). Dear father to Barbara (David) Winders, of Acton, Mass., Carol (Metro) Szeryk, of London, Patricia (Paul) LaFleur, of Florida, Geri (Jeff) Collinson, of Mississauga, Eric (Cindy) Pandke, of St. Thomas, Mary (Derrick) Hoare, of Toronto and the late Dayle Pandke, of Sudbury. He was dearly loved. Ed was born in Sprague, Ontario. He married Eileen in 1937. They raised their seven children in Sudbury. He worked at Inco (International Nickel Company of Canada) in Sudbury for 37 years. Ed enjoyed playing hockey, tennis and curling in his younger years. Ed enjoyed lots of family time and fishing at the cottage he built in Killarney. He was a great storyteller, and would enjoy a coffee with anyone who would stop by for a chat. Ed enjoyed a long retirement life. He spent the last seven years with his son, Eric, in St. Thomas. Ed’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at STEGH for their compassionate care. Also a big thank you to the PSWs who tended to his morning needs for the last four years. You made his days brighter, and he thought of you as family. At Ed’s request, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.
