January 31, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Norton, at his residence in London, on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the age of 69. Husband of Wendy (France). Dear father to Amanda (Dan) Hendriksen and Jill (Joel) Gillard. He was loved and will be missed by his grandchildren, Ben, Megan and Tenley; and sister-in-law, Judy Mock. Predeceased by his brother, Paul, and by his parents, Bill and Lorraine. Special thanks to dear friend, John Sherwood for his love and support during a difficult time. Wayne was a proud firefighter for 35 years for the City of London. He had a passion for motorcycling and skiing and volunteered for many years for Track 3 at Byron Ski Club. He touched many lives and will always be remembered fondly by these people. At Wayne’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at BOLER MOUNTAIN, 689 Griffith Street, London, with remembrances at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wayne, to London Track 3 Ski School at Boler Mountain, would be appreciated.
