Alan David Breward
February 3, 2019
Passed peacefully at the age of 61, on Sunday, February 3, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Son of David and Bianca. Brother of Lynda (John) Miller, Michael (Katherine) and Owen. Uncle of Mike (Samantha), Katy (Kyle), Tom (Steph), Bianca (Steven) and Natasha. Great-uncle of Charlie, Sawyer, Heath, Shaun, Sophia and Chase. Missed by friends and close colleagues. Alan was a solitary spirit who was happiest in a kayak or exploring the bush. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of history, philosophy, geography and geology. He was an amazing big brother… a protector against bullies, advisor about the world and occasionally a partner/ringleader in some serious mischief. He had a great laugh, a green thumb and animals and children were drawn to his quiet, patient and gentle ways. Happy, caring, giving and ready to do anything for anyone; he will be deeply missed. Huge thanks to LHIN, especially Sherri McRobert, VON and Dr. K. Milne. Cremation has taken place. A private service for immediate family will be held. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or VON Canada would be appreciated.
