Passed peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, April 10th, 2019, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Jack Matheson. Loving mother of Karen Lane (Bill) of London, Michael Bingham of Vancouver and Geoffrey Bingham (Angela) of Richmond Hill. Treasured grandmother of Crystal Hopkins (Rob), Danny Lane, Heather Trott (Aaron), Andrew Lane (Kim) and Mark Bingham; and great-grandmother of Aiden and Abigail. Dear sister of Lorne Martin (Doreen), the late Norman Martin and the late Nellie Cook. Marie will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marie are asked to consider Byron United Church or Wellspring – London.

Dear Karen, Geoff, Mike and families, I was sad to hear from Ron of the loss of dear Marie - your Mum. I have many happy memories of the chats and time I spent with her during my last visit. I'm so pleased I met her. At times like this I wish that there was less distance between us but what remains important is the loving support and thought that surrounds you all at this sad time. I wish I could be with you tomorrow at the memorial service but I want you all to know that I will be thinking of you at 2pm. With my love and sincere condolences to you all. Alison (in the UK)

Karen,Geoff,Mike & families ; I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom an Grandmother I haven't seen Marie(Aunt) for many years but have inquired many times with Lorne as I remember Marie she was a very polite caring an delicate lady I have fond memories of her.
