Major Edie was a great encourager to me when I was a Cadet at London Citadel. I am saddened to hear of her passing - but praising God she has received her promotion to glory! Servant of God, well done! Rest from thy loved employ; The battle fought, the victory won, Enter thy Master's joy. Soldier of Christ, well done! Praise be thy new employ; And while eternal ages run, Rest in thy Saviour's joy. She was a 'wee dear' (as we would say in Belfast) and I will remember her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. God Bless

To our Precious Aunt Edie, We are so saddened at your passing, but rejoice that you are finally home and with your Lord whom you loved so passionately and your loved ones who have gone on before you. We are so grateful to know you are no longer suffering and in the presence of the Lord. You touched our lives and will forever hold a very dear place in our hearts. Heaven is getting sweeter and sweeter. Soon, we will all be together again ♥ "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing" 2 Timothy 4:7-8 With our sincerest love, On behalf of Ellie Burke & Family Elaine & Family Anne & Family

My sweet dear Aunt Edie. I am so thankful for the many beautiful memories we shared and am comforted to know you are no longer in pain. The amazing trips to Canada to visit you and Uncle Nelson, you always made the best toast with lemon curde jam! I always admired how much you loved my Uncle Nelson and how you loved to take care of him in EVERY way! You were always so selfless and took so much joy in taking care of him and making him happy which was evident in his smile. My dear Uncle Nelson has his sweetie with him once again. Thank you for being so giving and for partaking in my wedding with Uncle Nelson, that was so incredibly special. I always had so much fun when you visited us in California. I will smile when I think of your big smile, your beautiful grey hair, your yodel while playing the accordion but more importantly, the love you have for the lord and our family. You have been promoted to glory my sweet Aunt! Shine bright and I will see you again xoxox Love from your Family in California: Sister n Law, Elizabeth (Lily) Goreen, Niece, Jennifer Carrillo and her husband Alex Carrillo and your great nephew Andrew Carrillo. With my heartfelt friendship, prayers and sympathy to Jessica and all of your family during this very sad time in your lives. May it help to know that the great love you and Edie shared is forever. Much love and caring hugs, Mrs. Armstrong

Memories are precious and that is true of the memories I have of Edith and Nelson and the time we shared at 2130 Bayview Avenue. Edith's love for Jesus was so wonderfully expressed in the joy she shared - Edith and her accordion - such energy for a little lady. She is now singing in the presence of the One she loved and served. John joins me in assuring her family of our prayerful support during these days. May God bless. Carol Foley

For my lovely Aunt Edie, I will miss your grace, dignity, beautiful white hair, that special twinkle in your eyes and of course that infectious laugh. I know you will be singing and playing your accordion in heaven with our Lord and all your family and friends. You will be missed!
