Passed away peacefully, at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care Home, on Monday, June 10, 2019, in her 85th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband João ‘John’ (1972). Cherished mother of Lucy Simoes (Mario) and Evelina Silveira (Slawomir Wojtowicz). Proud grandmother of Christopher Simoes and Jacinta Silveira-Wojtowicz. Loved and missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and in the US.
Predeceased by sisters Aurora Cardoso, Maria Nascimento and Ana Vieira; and brothers Luis Cardoso, Antonio Cardoso and Manuel Cardoso. Survived by sister Teresa Pinheiro and brother Jose Cardoso. Luciana’s family extends special thanks to the staff at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care Home. So many of you gave Mom much love, care, and moments of happiness over the past 9 years as well as amazing support to her family. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
