Mary Dorothea Sawruk (née Green)

Peacefully passed away at home during a commercial break between sitcoms with family around, on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in her 89^th year. Loving wife of the late William Matthew Sawruk. Loving daughter of the late John and Hilda Green, of England. Beloved mother of Christopher, the late Peter and Nicole, Marcie and Len Pieprzak, Stephen and Teresa. Beloved sister of Joan and the late Eric Jelley, of Bracebridge, the late Ralph and Molly Green, of California. Grandmother of Taylor and Alan Pieprzak, and Megan McKenna. Missed by nieces and nephews: Michael Jelley, Hilary and Ross Ashby, David and Sharon Jelley, Jennifer and Bill Rock, Maria and Rick Baker, the late Jeffery Green, Stephen and John Sawruk, Christianne Currie. Mary will be missed by her extended family. The love of Mary’s life was teaching dance in Toronto and London for many years, and her beautiful floral gardens. A memorial service will be conducted at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 280 St. James Street, London, on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with a light luncheon to be held afterwards. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
