Laurent ‘Larry’ Falardeau

June 16, 2019

With sadness, we announce the passing of Larry on Father’s Day. He was a loving husband to his wife of almost 61 years, Vivian. Father to Rick (Nancy). Much loved grandfather to Ryan, Celeste, Chelsea, Brianna, Evan and Larissa; and great-grandfather to Dimitri, Ezra and Aidan. Predeceased by his parents, Wilbrod and Bernadette Falardeau, and brothers: Alcide, Leo, Fern, Ivan and Maurice. He is survived by brother, Emile, and sisters, Bridgette and Nicole. In spite of having a grade six education, Larry became a very successful businessman, who was able to retire at the age of 50. He was trained as an auto body repairman, but was a skilled carpenter, mason, plumber and electrician. He owned and operated “Frenchy’s Auto Body” and a Ford Dealership in Wallaceburg, Ontario. In retirement, Larry and Vivian spent their winters in New Port Richey, Florida, and their summers at the beach in Grand Bend. He was an avid golfer, pool and poker player. Larry just played 18 holes on the Thursday before his death. He was smart, funny, stubborn and always had something to say. He will be sorely missed by all. There were many good times and funny accolades, which we hope to share with you in a Celebration of Life that will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., at Oakwood Resort, 70671 Bluewater Highway, Grand Bend, Ontario.
