Marion (née Benness) Edith Carter

July 17, 2019

August 28, 1926 ~ July 17, 2019

Marion passed away peacefully at Glendale Crossing, London. She joins her beloved husband, Bill (2017), in eternity. Marion will be sadly missed by her children Paul (Wendy) and Sharon (Shane); and three grandchildren: Tyler, Stephanie (Brian) and Joel (Paige). Born in Toronto, Marion enjoyed a brief career in nursing before choosing to stay at home to raise her children. However, her need to care for others and to use her nursing skills led her to teaching first aid, working as a camp nurse at Camp Ma Kee Wa, and assisting public health nurses working in the school system. Marion loved golfing, curling, and doing everything with her husband; they were “two peas in a pod”. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, her exquisite needlework, and most of all, being there for her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Crossing for the care they gave to Marion over the past eight years, and a very special thanks to Carole Holton for providing the extra care to give Marion the best quality of life possible over the past few years and in her final days. A private family service and cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.

Dear Sharon and Paul, please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mom. Aunt Marion was the most lovely and kind lady and it was always such a pleasure to see her. I hope that all the wonderful memories you have of her will bring you comfort. I remember so well when we celebrated Grandpas 100 th birthday in Sudbury all those years ago. I am so sorry for this late condolence, but I only found out today that Aunt Marion had died. Kindest regards, Marilyn
