It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Peter Bernardus Verbeem, on Monday, August 5, 2019, at University Hospital, at the age of 85. Loving husband of Willy (née Mutsaers) for 54 years. Beloved father of Sandra Verbeem and Mark Verbeem (Fatima). Very proud Opa of Lindsay, Lilly, Aydan, Ethan and Quintan. Dear brother of Dina (Marcel) Decock of Ajax, Ontario and Leun (Wim) Boudewijns of Maarheeze, Netherlands, and brother-in-law of Jan (Ena), Ad (Wilma), Peter (Cathy) and Wally (Diane). Survived by several nieces and nephews in Holland and Canada. Predeceased by brothers Kees and Jan; sisters Lena, Corrie and Janny; and sisters-in-law Cathy Van Mierlo and Johanna Mutsaers. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation two hours prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Peter are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Willy .. sending comfort and warm thoughts to you and your family. Peter was a kind and gentle soul. I will always have fond memories of my years of teaching with him at L.D.S.S.
