Beverly Joan Ferguson (née Boules)

November 9, 2019

Passed away peacefully surrounded with love, on Saturday, November 9th, 2019. Beverly was the beloved only daughter to Caroline and John Boules. Although an only child, she had a forever “sister” in her cousin Carol Lambert van der Veen, whom she loved dearly. Beverly was born on January 8th, 1932 in Guelph, Ontario. She grew up in North Bay and Hamilton, the city where she would meet Fergus Ferguson, whom she married on July 3rd, 1954. They were the happiest when they were together. She was an employee of Bell Telephone and Gay Lea Foods, but loved being a mom to her two daughters the most. Bev will be missed immensely by her daughters and their husbands, Judi and Rob Irvine and Beth and Randy Vegso. She was a much loved Nana to Matthew and Sarah, Bryan and Jessica, Alexandra, Christy and Jeremy, Reed and Jessica, Hilary and Fiona and Timo. She was also a Great-Nana to Zachary, Lucas, Sophia, Isaac and Big-Nana to Mason, Bridget, Nora and Jack. We would like to express our immense gratitude to the staff of Chartwell London Long Term Care Residence, who showed an inordinate amount of caring, compassion, love and friendship to all of our family but especially to our Mom. She was completely surrounded by love. Special thanks to all the PSWs and nursing staff of the Aspen Court as well as to Nurse Practitioner Nancy Griffiths for her care and support. Bev is forever grateful for the friendship and sense of community provided by the residents of Chartwell London. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex or to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada would be greatly appreciated.
