Sarah Frances Roberts
November 11, 2019
Peacefully, at home in the arms of her loving children, on Monday, November 11, 2019, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Kenneth G. Roberts. Cherished Mom of Trish Roberts, Deyan Adams (Marshal), Ken Roberts (Susan), Lori Monkman (Neil), Kathy Roberts and the late Glen Roberts (Sharon). Sarah had 16 grandchildren: Karly, Bret, Matthew, Joshua, Faith, Jewel, Breanna, Caleb, Abigail, Kristen, Holly, Elizabeth, Tyler, Michael, Katelyn, and Isabella; and 8 great-grandchildren: Natasha, Breyden, Trey, Emily, Hunter, Hayden, Hope and Harper.
Sarah was born on July 7, 1943 in Nova Scotia but relocated to London, Ontario to be with the love of her life. She was one of 13 brothers and sisters. She loved her lobster dinners with family, listening to Johnny Reid in the kitchen and was always in touch with her spiritual side. Family was her heart. Sarah was instrumental in the raising of her grandchildren. She loved to cook and entertain, and believed food was love. Everyone was always welcome and she felt the more the merrier was best. She believed no one should ever be alone and she never judged anyone. Sarah would never miss watching her children and grandchildren play in sports competitions. She never missed birthdays or special events. She loved being around the water but what she loved most was her family and friends. They were her everything. We thank her for being our mom and grandmother.
In honour of Mom’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a private burial service for the family on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Sarah are asked to consider SickKids Foundation.
