Beverly Noreen Baines

November 20, 2019

It is with heavy hearts, we share the loss of our Mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend, Bev. Her passing on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 marks the end of an era. After a rewarding and full life, she has taken the next step in her incredible journey. She unconditionally loved her five children: Lynda Carr (Ken), Kirk (JoAnne), Jeffrey, Debbie (Dan Forbes), and the late Michael (Lynn). She dearly loved her best friend and sister Dorothy Leach (Eva). Her family tree casts a wide net of fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Her wish: make her proud, be loyal and LOVE one another. Now reuniting with the love of her life Gerald Baines, her son Michael, brother Donald Newman and parents Arthur and Marjory Newman (née Guest). For 58 years, her beloved cottage was the place where many memories were made, where friends & family gathered and in her 89th year she was able to close it one final time. She was passionate about London’s local history and was a supporter of Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Museum London and London Public Library. Our family recognizes and gives heartfelt thanks to the St Joseph’s Hospice family, University Hospital ER, 6th & 10th floor staff and volunteers. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Bev to any of the organizations mentioned above. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 1:00 ~ 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m.
