Passed away peacefully, at Henley Place Long Term Care, on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, in his 93rd year. Cherished husband of Elva for over 70 years. Dear father of Rick (Rosemary), Cathy Greenwell (Larry Morgan), and Cindy Rath (Rob), all of London. Proud grandfather of Kelly DuMoulin (Josh), Mark McEllistrum, Kenneth Rath, Lindsay Rath, and the late Krista McEllistrum; and great-grandfather of Megan DuMoulin. Beloved brother of Bob (Cathy) and Don (Lorraine). Dick was employed for many years with CN Rail prior to becoming a firefighter with the London Fire Department. He retired as Captain from the Highbury Fire Hall in 1988. A funeral service to celebrate Dick’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dick are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Our most heartfelt sympathy to Elva and all the family. He will be sorely missed. We will always remember his great sense of humour and how he joked around with his brothers. We know how much he dearly loved his family and we pray for each one. We were so very thankful, Don was able to make the trip to see him last fall. God bless.
